Huh? What’s that – a crowdsourcedFRD?
Well, it’s our way of letting you dictate the future functionality of btobbloggers.com. Let’s start with a definition.
Crowdsourced: taking a task that is typically performed by an employee and *outsourcing* to a large group (or crowd). In this instance, you, the B2B marketer.
FRD (Functional Requirement Document):
You see, I had a vision for this site based on a simple premise – create a simple, easy-to-use, web site that provides fast access the growing amount of BtoB marketing content on the web. As with all things, I’m sure there will be some parts of the site that I will have hit the mark and others, not so much. That’s where you, the crowd, comes in. You get to tell us how to make the parts you love better and improve the things you don’t. Over time we will also be asking you specific questions about functionality we are developing.
Like right now, we’ve spent a lot of engineering time thus far working on a myBtoBbloggers.com page. The intent like with any *my* page is to allow you to create a customized page where you can pick blogs and BtoB twitter accounts to follow. Right now, we have it so you can have multiple pages and all kinda of fancy stuff. But lately, I’ve been questioning whether or not to move forward with this piece of the site.
So I ask, “should we complete the engineering on the myBtoBbloggers.com page?” Anyone interested in testing what we have so far? Why would it be helpful to you?
So now you know what a CrowdsourcedFRD is, leave a comment and be the vision for the future of the site.
