B2Bbloggers | Shaping The Future Of B2B Marketing

2010 – Off To A Flying Start.Jeremy Victor

Seriously, how is it January 11th already? It’s just a subtle reminder that we must seize each day for the opportunity that it is and remember the challenge I offered to you for 2010. Embrace the change before us and lead.

As a B2B marketer there couldn’t be a more ideal time than now for you to begin standing out in your organization. You could take on any number of initiatives that would all have significant returns. Whether it be creating a content marketing strategy, initiating a social media program, or implementing marketing automation software, now is your opportunity to lead, your opportunity to be the champion within your organization, your opportunity to rise to the top. It is up to you – no one else.

How’s that for a pep talk to start off your week? I mean it sincerely…the more I get around these days, the more I am seeing that the number one thing organizations need is: LEADERSHIP. Don’t wait to be assigned a project, initiate it. Don’t wonder why no one is asking you to be involved in “that” project, volunteer yourself. Stand out, you won’t be sorry.

We’ve Been Busy. Here is a quick hit list of updates.

Content Marketing Channel Launched

Content marketing is one of the core editorial topics we’ll be covering in 2010. The launch of the content marketing channel will help you find and locate the blogs that are covering all things content marketing. Here’s my first article of the year on the topic, “It’s Time – Your Marketing Needs A Content Makeover.”

Leadership Minute (working title – have a suggestion – email me)

Launched a regular column devoted to developing the skills necessary to lead in the 21st century workplace. The first issue discussed how to be productive when managing your social media activities. Hint – discipline.
